Profile
Wandoo Systems provides independent advisory and project delivery grounded in thirty years of experience across software engineering, IT operations and technical project management.
The Wandoo Ethos
The Wandoo (Eucalyptus wandoo) is a tree native to Western Australia. It is dense, durable and deeply rooted in harsh conditions. It does not seek attention. It endures.
We operate with the same mindset. Our work focuses on systemic integrity in environments where ambiguity is high and the stakes are real. We help organisations align their structures, processes and technology with their strategic goals.
Systems improvement only works when you understand both the technology and the business operations it supports.

Background
My career began in clinical research. In that environment, precision, traceability and integrity were the requirement. This background in high-stakes, regulated research still informs my approach to complex systems today.
From research, I moved into the high-velocity world of early internet infrastructure and startup scaling. My experience later included work at one of the world’s largest cloud providers, handling the full engineering lifecycle from development and infrastructure to reliability and observability.
Across three decades, I have worked in diverse environments (from hyper-growth startups to large-scale regulated organisations). I have seen where technical complexity grows faster than a team can handle and where organisational structure creates hidden friction.
Wandoo Systems was built to fix these misalignments. We apply a multidisciplinary lens (spanning engineering, leadership and operations) to find root causes faster. Often, what looks like a technical deadlock is actually a structural or human constraint.
Today, we help organisations build the frameworks, processes and knowledge systems that allow their people and their technology to work together effectively.
We write to clarify our thinking and to share patterns we have seen repeat across decades. Agility is a property of systems rather than a checklist. We help teams move beyond rituals to find their own rhythm of feedback, ownership and delivery.
